Anybody out there know what the specs are on the factory back speakers are for a 2001 gx. I got some JBL LC-s960 speakers for free and want to make sure they are better before i bother to install them.

8ohms....Delco Electronincs...Paper 'n stuff, not good quality. I bet its about 25 watts RMS, again very cheap. Anything is better

****I'm assuming you didn't buy any preminum sound system, those specs are for my stock rears for a 99'

just about any after market speaker will we better than stock.

I scored some JBL LC-S960 back speakers for free (nice eh), But they say 4 ohms on the magnet. should i assume i can or cannot hook these up without any problems.

With less resistance I assume you will get more power out of them.

they might be to loud, being 4ohms. worst that will happen is you'll have to fade the sound up front just a little

Well iI hooked up the speakers lastnight and they sound pretty good.
I always thought the factory speakers sounded good for stock. Big difference with these. thanks for the advice fellers. :thumbsup:
