ok so i have a hub going on. got a howl so i know its more than the sensor..
but since the cruise doesnt work im thinking its that hub.. anyone know which hub the cruise is tied into?
i have the antilock and the low tire light on.. and then the cruise isnt working.. haynes tells me poop.

If it stops howling when you turn right, it's the left hub, if it stops when you turn left, it's the right hub. Otherwise, jack it up, grab the top and bottom of the tire, push and pull, and see which one has 1/2"+ of play in it.

thanks but i already did that... the bearings arent bad enough yet to have any play.... and the howling doesnt stop when i turn....it stops when i stop

I had a similar problem when my right front hub was going, but I am not sure if the cruise is only controlled by one. I would think that if either one was bad it would shut off to let you know there was a problem. Before I replaced the hub I no cruise and the trac off and anti-lock lights on, but not the low tire light....

ok the howl doenst go away when you turn. the concept is that if you turn to the left and it makes more noise then its the right hub due to the cars weight being shifted to the right. if you turn to the left and there is less noise then turn or swerve the other way and see if the noise gets louder.

i just had this problem about a month ago and one set of bearings were shot and the other one was bad enough my ABS and traction control lights stayed on after i thought i fixed is.
