Aaah....that New Engine 'burning' Smell

Got my car out of the shop yesterday and last night, i took it through it's paces on the interstate. When i got home, i smell a funk from the car. From the outside of the car, it kinda smells like burnt oil. Once you pop the hood, it's a completely different smell. Anyone know if this is to be expected or not? Is the engine ridding itself of old funk? Or should i take it back to the shop?

probably (hopefully) they just dripped some oil on the engine whlie filling or draining the oil, and it is just burning off. If you still smell it after a couple days, then take it back.
