notice car heating up when driving and cool down when parked any answer to this problem im thinkingt it might be the water pump going out

Maybe you need to check/flush your coolant?

i wouldnt suggest just water, unless you mean water to flush it before you put new stuff in.

i'm not sure about the 2.4, but i know the 3.4 uses dexcool... NOT the green stuff.
