Hey guys, I was wondering if I should get a CAI or a WAI. I'm not sure if there are any advantages or disadvantages between the two. This would be my first upgrade so let me know. It seems like alot of you guys have WAI, so I have to ask before I got with a CAI.

(I know that CAI brings colder air, which is denser, which means more oxygen, which means more horsepower)

Search Search Search. I don't know how many times people have to tell noob's to use the search feature. ANYHOW, I don't know that theres huge advantages to CAI vs. WAI. Granted, if you were going for a high performance car then you'd be looking more towards CAI. But for someone who just wants the look and sound of an intake system then I think it more of just your preference. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't see any HP changes between CAI or WAI on a completely stock motor. But once you start upgrading then it would become more aparent. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

hahaha, sorry sorry sorry about not using the search, I made that post during school so I had to be quick. I usually use the search feature but my teacher was on my ass about the computer.

Thanks for your help guys, sorry again for the search thing. I think I'm going to get the Induction Dynamics CAI and get an Air Bypass Valve. Let me know what you think if you want.

Not too sure about HP gains, maybe a few...

but you'll definitely get an increase in throttle response!!

I took my WAI off for the winter clean, and it lags

i really don't care if you believe john(springs) and mike(sc/alero) were there

to witness. as a matter of fact it was the cai i got from john. he posted the actual

dyno sheet about a year ago on this site and even then with the dyno sheet

people still didn't believe. wai or cai anything is better than the stockbox.
