ok i just got a turbo kit i need to find out where to run the oil lines if i have to run it into the oil pan or is there a different spot to run it without drilling into my oil pan??? i also gotta oil cooler for it too??

Nice, what kinda kit did you get? I believe most guys just run it to the pan, and there might even be a optimal place on the pan to throw a fitting on, but I cant remember the last time I looked at it. What does your kit use for fuel management, and how many psi are you planning on pushing? PLEASE post pics of the kit and the intsall Im currently putting together a custom build

wel i dont have the full kit yet there are a few things i need to get but its a t3/t4 im not planning to run that much boost maybe 6-8psi until i find the right intercooler right the fuel management is still up in the air but i was thinking about contacting rsm because with there supercharger kits it says reprogrammed ecu so i gotta see whats up with that... let me know whats you found out so far i was planning on putting it on before but i changed my mind and know im back on it again but i have some other things for my car i gotta put on before the turbo like an airbag kit an *** body kit some guages a new hood... stuff like that

Fuel management on our cars currently is a nightmare. Im plannin on runnin either a Cartech/BEGI adjustable FMU and an SAFC II with some brown tops or maybe substitute the Cartech/Begi for an Aeromotive Digital FMU designed for returnless fuel systems (which ours happen to be)

Are you saying that our fuel systems on the ecotec aleros dont have a fuel return? Because im pritty sure that they do... lol

I'm also piecing together a turbo kit...and i already talked to rsm. they say their supercharger reflash for the ecu wont work for a turbo because the boost is too "unpredictable". what i'm going to be running is 4 extra injectors in the intake runners, as soon as i can find a decent priced injector controller. that way the engine idles and runs like stock when you're not on boost, but once you hit boost, the extra injectors kick in to deliver the extra fuel.

Have you seen our intake manifolds! Better look up the word "puddling" as thats EXACTLY the issue your gonna be dealing with if you choose to go with an EIC (Extra Injector(s) Controller. Our Intake Mani is poorly designed for this. Youd be best off goin with a custom or log style mani instead if using an EIC is what you want. EIC's arent that great as they dont have any sorta fluctuation in fuel supply, their either full on, or full off with the flick of a switch, where as something like a piggyback controller (the SAFC II) you can carve your own fuel curve for outside of boost, and then increase it in ratio to boost with the use of an FMU by increasing 1 lb of fuel pressure for every pound of boost increased (ratio only used as example)

i didnt mention i have the 2.4 in my car. i was simply letting geedog know that i already talked to rsm about their supercharger relfash and was offering another possibility for fuel management.

i understand the whole puddling effect...but what i'm talking about is putting each additional injector in the runner right behind the stock injector, so they squirt directly into the valves.

also with most EIC's out there, you can adjust the injector duty cycle, lengthing or shortening the injector pulse to add more or less fuel when you need it.

brand new, most of the EIC's are 600 to 900 bucks so if i cant find one for a decent price, i'll be going the route of bigger injectors, an adjustable FPR to lower the base pressure, SAFC to pull more fuel at idle and to set the fuel curve by rpms and throttle position, and adjustable FMU to set the fuel curve depending on boost. i figure i can pick all those up for the same price or less than a brand new EIC. also all tuning will be done with the aid of a wideband o2 kit.
