Now, I have three things wrong with my Alero still. I am not really in the mood to work on it now or ever, as I just don't want to work on this thing anymore. Now my sensor in my right front hub is bad, blower motor resistor is crap, I believe, and my D side window reg is screwed up again on my coupe. Now if I would take this to the dealer how much would it cost to get this all fixed? I am not very trusting of most of the garages here, so I feel better taking it to the dealer.

Blower motor resistor you can do yourself. But for everything else? Probably looking around $600 for parts and labor. Not sure what an OEM hub runs, but isn't it around $300? I know Timkens at AZ are under $100.

Just make sure if you replace the Blower motot resistor, you have someone small and nimble because it way in the back of the footwell about 1/4 inch away from the firewall and the far back bolt is next to impossible to get out. Well, it was for me anyhow.

Yeah, I took a look at the resistor housing and said I wasn't trying anymore. I am 6' and 200 pounds. I don't really like giving money to the dealer, but I think I am going to do it in stages. I'll get the regulator fixed first, since it is just a sensor with my hub. Then I'll do the sensor, and hopefully by then, I will have kidnapped the neighborhood kid and forced him to remove my resistor. I am just kidding, but I got a friend who is scrawny as hell, about 5'7" and maybe 130 pounds. I got a job for him.

I disagree I believe these are all somewhat medium easy projects. I have removed my hub with a floor jack and air hammer. Sensor right there by it. Got to get yor hands dirty sometime. Shoot a few scars or cuts on the hands just means that you did a damn good job.

The wheel hubs from GM are about 300 but from an auto store they are about half that, and they aren't hard to put in if you have the time!
