i know some people on here have some decent wiring projects running on their cars... how do you go about organizing the wires? what from what, where things are going, and keeping them outta the way.

if i take the main hvac console piece off there are wires going every which way.

how has everyone organized their power, grounds and wires travelling all over the place?

i'm thinking a few ways myself, but each seems like a big project to rewire and i'm really un enthuthed to do it.

I used one power wire and one ground wire for my gauge overlays and a-pillar gauges. I ran a red wire from my cubby hole light for power and I ran a black wire to a ground just underneath the plastic on the door sill.

hmm, apparently no-one has done alot of under dash work yet. <_<.

i have 3 power and 3 ground coming in from my vents, to a dist. block then going to the actual power and ground. 2 pair going to each set of cathodes. 1 pair going to the cubby lights i have, 7 wires going to the switch plate under my h.u.

its get'n kinda crazy under there. i'm have an idea of how to change it, but i'll be a giant pain in my ass....

zip ties will group them together, but i need to organize my powers and grounds. (all of the wires i mentioned all look the same too.) so everytime i gotta fix something i spend half an hour just tracing wires. issed:

Color code the wires to each thing you are powering with a little piece of colored electrical tape.
