You can do anything if you have the money the L67 would go in easyer due to it being a FWD setup.

As long as you don't try to bolt it to the tranny from your Alero, you could do whatever you want.

if you wanna cut the frame and do alot of modifications then the 3800 would fit, but after a few grand its not worth it, the 3100, 3400 would fit, not sure about the new 3500, but the 3800 might be far fetched. V8's? um......keep dreamin

If you do go with the 3800, you have to change the tranny and PCM.
Somebody did put a 350 in and Alerobut I forgot who.
It would be cheaper to buy another car

I would definately go for the 3.4. Reason being it would be relativaly inexpensive, alot more HP than what ya have, alot of upgrades available, install would be less of a headache. Yes you can put in a V8 but it would cost you more than the car is worth, but that does not mean dont do it if ya really wanted to. You can put a V8 in anything, it all comes down to money. In other words what ya can afford.

Swaping to the 3.4 isn't as cheap as you thing, the PCM is different, completely, the transmission would have to be swapped to an auto as well, since as of yet there is no way to run the 3.4 without the auto, also, the wireing harness is completely different between the 4 and the 6.

I said relatively inexpensive. Compared to 3.8 or V8 swaps its dirt cheap.

I'm thinking about building my engine up with H.O. Quad 4 parts (cams, intake manifold, etc.) then beefing up the internals and running a large shot , around 150 or something depending on what the engine and tranny can take....OHH and one last thing I forgot to mention (it's also in At the Track) is that my best 1/4 mile time to date has been 14.4 at 95 mph! thats with just intake, drag radials and a 55 shot of NX.

I had one of those in a cutlass calais.
The things blow up after 60,000 miles. We aren't the only ones that have had this problem. People say theres blew up in 50,000, 55,000, and a 72,000. Some had ones that never blew up. But thats alot for people that live in the same area with the same car.
I kind of like the new 2.4 Ecotec.
170 HP and 170 Torque.
