hey,

wondering if you guys could post up some pics of where you mounted your amps... right now I have it on the back of the seat but I want to try and mount it somehwere that is hidden. I think it's to big to go where the factory amp would be and I cannot really think of anywhere else to put it

I did see in other posts some people mentioning underthe rear seat but wouldnt it overheat? It will be used regulary for at least an hour at a time (my commute tow ork takes about an hour)

I should add that I do not have a sub, amp will be running aftermarket speakers in factory locations so I want the system to look as stock as possible

I don't know about under the back seat but you could put it under the front seat. Just make sure there is about 2" of space on top of the amp. If you have a problem with it overheating you can always add fans to help circulate the air.

I never thought of the front seat, but there really isnt much room under them on the alero, they seem really low so I dont know if that would work or not. I'll have to check it out on the weekend.
Any other ideas?

well, if you really want it to be hidden you could always loose the spare tire if that's an option, and put it in there

would rather not lose the spare tire, and getting all the wires into that without seeing them would be tricky

guess i'll probably just leave the amp where it is, it's not that bad.

You have to fold down the both halves of the back seat first, then where the 2 meet they are attached at the bottom by 2 13mm? bolts that you need to use a wrench to undo. Very tricky, you have to push on the foam of the seat to get at the bolts, and they're even trickier to get back in. Once you undo the bolts the seat backs fold in a bit and just pop out of the holes in the side of the car. Watch your head on the locking mechanism on the back dash, i smashed my head on it repeatedly even tho i knew it was there.

also try this if you haven't found what you need yet

I got it all hooked back up today, damn does having an amp ever make a huge difference even without a sub!

I have an anoying crackling sound though. It's weird becuase it wasnt there until I pulled over, turned the gain down and the bass boost down on the rear speakers and then it started doing it. It's probably a bad ground on the LOC, so i'm going to have to take the dash apart again to fix that. Just waiting for the weather to clear up!

I still want to move the amp though. I am hesitant with under the front seat because I have a 2 year old and another one on the way. So in another couple years his feet will love kickin my amp
