so im driving home last night with my window down cuz it was GORGEOUS out! (yep...im telling a lil story!  )and on my left side i heard a squeak...or maybe what sounded to be metal scraping together...im kinda afraid somethings gonna fall off or bust in half...help me!!
yea yea its in the wrong place. i just realized that! its not even 9am so im not awake yet :P my bad!

if it does it constantly on at all speeds then it is probably your brakes. when they are worn down the most of the way they will squeal to warn you that the pads are almost gone.

it doesnt do it when im going the speed limit...or that i can tell anyway. i just noticed it yesterday after work when i was drivign uptown in supper time traffic

If it doesn't do it when you're driving at normal speed, then yes, it is your brakes going bad.

I'm just saying that if you can't hear it under normal driving conditions, then it's not making the noise so it's your brakes. I've replaced my brake pads enough to know..

Pads aren't too pricey, you can get plain ones for about $40 for the set for the front brakes, those are probably the only ones that need replacing as they wear out way faster, but check them all to be sure.
But I know, $40 can be a lot when you only have 84 cents

i just priced some at Canadian Tire...$44.99 for the front ones...but the stupid f*ckers dont even have rotors for my car at all...they have none listed. Ive always hated that store, now i kno why

k now apparently its warranteed?!?!
wtf man. i call them friday and the chick(stupid b*tch) said 'oh no its not covered'...now i get a call back from the head service/parts guy and he said 'oh u only have 28k on ur car. ur pads and rotors are covered. bring her in tomorrow and we'll fix it up for you'..... :wtf:

I thought brakes were not covered because of wear and tear... mine have never been covered.

i dunno...i asked about 5 times to 2 different ppl at my dealership...and they both told me its covered...im thinking maybe up to 30k kms or something they are covered. ill be triple checking tomorrow AM when i go to drop my car off, cuz im NOT paying dealership prices!

It's normally not covered, but after only 28,000KM?!?! Sounds like something isn't right and they're actually gonna step up to the plate and fix it for you. Get it while you can, the price is right.
