When i cleared the corners of the headlights on my Alero, i put an amber bulb in place behind where the orange peice used to be. Did y'all do that, or just leave it white? did anyone change the amber light next to that one to white also? As you can see in my avatar, both the lights are amber. Isnt it illegal to be all white lights up there?

btw, That was a major pain to do, prying the headlights apart!

Legal? Depends on your local laws and really how picky the cops are where you live. You could probably get away with white lights, and just keep some amber bulbs in your car somewhere in case you are pulled over. Tickets for light violations are cheap here (~$18), I just consider it a modded car tax

Yep, it is a beetch to get the lights apart, but isn't it sooo worth it?

Go to Advance Auto Parts, or a compadible parts seller and grab you some of the lights for the alero with a ast behind the #, for ex: 506ast.

These lights show up clear but when lit up they are amber so that they are legal

I used 1 & 1/2 tubes that were about 6 or 7 inches tall. I used the extra up and threw them out already, so I don't know the ounces. You can also get Sylvania silverstar bulbs for the inner turn signals. I like them because they have an oil-coated look (kinda purpley-silver)

Usually it's perfectly legal to have white or amber shining bulbs in front. Since they shine white, they're legal Check your local laws, tho..

^ i haven't seen those anywhere.. I would get those if I could find them since I don't like the way the darker blue looks with my car color.

However FMVSS requires you to have an amber reflector on the side of the car in the front. Not that you'll get pulled over for it, but it's possible it could fail an inspection if they have them where you live.
