finally got around to starting this... man its been a while...

starts as...

after attacking it with a dremel... (painted the emblem on there w/ white first.... you can still see a little bit of it)

and last pic of the first stages....

i'm waiting for some epoxy to dry, then i'm gonna paint it black, a coat or two of clearcoat to seal it, then epoxy the symbol in clear.

lastly, i gotta put 1-2 blue leds in the bottom and connect them in, so the symbol glows. this so far, was soo much easier then that biohazard sign i have....

So you're gonna fill in the symbol? What kind of epoxy are you using? I hope it doesn't cure yellow..

And you are going to trim it so it's a smooth design.. right?

yes, i did smooth it out. and the epoxy will be clear. i've used it for a ton of things and its never been anything but clear.

(if it turns out like crap i'll just scrap the project) lol

and there are a few points where its still connected.. those will be fixed. if you don't leave a few like that the center pieces will fall right out.... after the major epoxy dries, i'm gonna trim those out and fill in again...

looks good, nice idea. should look even better when done
