Well I know that the Grand Am Coilovers will fit on the alero....and I have recently learned that there are some mods needed....but is there anyone that can be specific before I go and mess up my suspension? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

99-04 Grand Am's are all the same as Alero's. Should bolt right on without much work at all.

ive never actually seen or used these "grand am" coilovers. i have a feeling though that they are really not made for a grand am. most likely you will either no get a good drop in the front, too much drop, or not enough adjustability.

the rears have a chance to actually work fine. i've built quite a few setups. and if you need to modify, it's not exactly an easy task. you basically have to cut off the spring perch and CAREFULLY, VERY CAREFULLY, grind down the perch weld. then you have to make new perches, i used stainless exhaust tubing, mainly because i didn't want to weld on a strut cause it would more than likely f*** it up. so there you have it, pray you dont have to modify it

if they are like the ones i have seen on ebay

you have to remove the mounting completely and put this threaded sleeve on and modify the plate.

it is basically a turn you stock struts into coilovers rather than buying a coilover setup.

if you have a link post it.
