Ok, So I have been thinking that my computer in my 2.4 alero is screwed and today I think I have my proof. I was going to the pool hall to make some money tonight and outta nowhere my trun signals stop working. I stopped in a parking lot and changed a fuse on the drivers side fuse box that says Trn Lmps. And Nothing...
K so now I look around and there cops everywhere so I just went home to figure it out. I didnt see in the owners manual a relay for the turn signals. I took off my negative terminal on my battery and let it set a while...I put it back on and presto they are working...I go to drive to the pool hall and 5 min down the rd they go out again.
I dont know if it is the switch b/c when I engage the signal to turn and do turn it still snaps back to the middle and it was working for a few seconds there. ANy ideas of whats wrong?

Not a recall. There was an STB (service technician's Bulletin...or something like that) and Olds sent out a letter to Alero owners and you have to bring the letter into a dealer for a free fix. Make sure it's NOT working when you bring your car to the dealer though. I made that mistake and they didn't fix it and they threw out the letter.

no recall, just a letter that if its broken you can bring it in to the dealership and get it fixed free of charge.

its the hazard switch, mine worked fine then slowly stopped working. It was completely done, then I got the letter from GM and got it fixed for free
