Twice I have had all my gauges not activate on startup. That includes gas, temp, rpm, km, spd, and all lights.
When the key is turned to the start (second pos) the lights come on and then the start going out in funny orders; some stay on sometimes, some never stay on. Restarting the car over a few hours doesn't help - yes, the car runs just fine, just no instrumentation (and the KMs are free ). Both times they've worked again the next day. I've check all the wires I could find and pulled all the fuses. WHATSUP!?

This happened to me too, for about a weeks time, I immediately took it to Jiffy Lube and told them all about it, they reset my oil lite, and within a few days it stopped happening and never happened again.

I thought it was happening from the screen switch I installed to allw the screen to work while driving, the brake lite would stay on, and during acccelarations it would even beep. It is fixed now, and the brake indicator is not on, but I thought it blew out the dash regulator or something, I didn't do anything to fix it, it just sorta went away, but good luck to you if this is still happening.

If I can figure out how to do it, I would make it an option, cause it looks kinda cool cruising down the road at 0MPH with 0RMPs and an empty tank.

I thought it would be surefire way to get out of a ticket, but I guess it's the driver's responsibility to maintain their vehicle. Damn coppers

I don't know about your state, but in VA ad PA all you have to do is prove in court that your speedo was either inaccurate or not working at the time. (Of course, you should probably claim it 'jut happened' and get it fixed or at least looked at before your court date.)
