It is pretty simple.
Remove the knobs from the climate control panel. Simply pull the knobs straight off (they may be stiff, but they will come!).
Use for finger nails or a small screw drive to get the eachs lose. Then simple pull them off.
Once removed, you may wish to paint the knobs. If you apply a light coat, the light will shine through and illuminate the knob.

Mine were an ill-looking green color, but I painted them a nice blue, now they look amazing.

Yes, a light coat of paint or transparent paint works a lot better.

Try either a very small screw driver at the bottom to loosen the plastic

Yeah, I'm stupid.. I got the cap off... and it looks pretty good.. But another question.. is it possible to change all that out for a red glow?
And if so, where Might I be able to get such thing?

I think red paint might work, you'd hafta make it pretty dark tho otherwise it might not make a very nice color when mixed with the current knob color. You can probably buy new 'generic' knobs at a parts store, and if they have clear ones there then you'll have it made in the shade.

Just go to your dealer and order knobs from a 2001+. They will be white and the red will cover much better.

Mine are a solid white. (2001) For those who have the blue ones and want to paint red (or any other color) I would be willing to trade str8 up. I would like the factory blue ones anyway since I'm going with a blue color scheme in my car.
