So i was thinking of putting some LED lights inside my car but then i realized i know nothing about wiring. So my question is, is there any battery powered LED lights (or anything) i can just throw in my car and not have to worry about wires?? Would they be controlled remotely so i don't have to turn each one on every time??

if you want to put it something battery powered, you're gonna have to dig down there to replace the battery every time it dies out. you might as well were it into the car's 12v circuitry (ie: through the cigarette lighter)

Get one of those fancy-shmancy lighter socket splitters from pep-boys, sit it in between your firewall and radio (that cubby hole on the floor) and snake the plug on the splitter through the 2nd cigarette plug (as seen on the passenger side) You should be able to plug it in without it beeing seen. Then, whatever accessories you want (be it lighting, or anything else that runs on 12v) you could just plug in with the splitter.

just remember, when you're done, hide the wires! (and maybe the switches)

or get something like this... @ radioshack : sku: 274.670

and one of these... @ radioshack : sku: 274.650

you break the second one in half, put them on each half of the top one.(jumpering the top 8 screws together, and the bottom 8 together, on different polarites.) Then all you need to do it attach a positive wire to one of the top screws and negative to the bottoms.

this gives you a 12V series of power and grounds. just connect your leds (w/ resistors) to this for power. very simple.

pm me if you want pics. i have a few of these in my center console to power all my various leds in my car.

I had been wondering if they made something like that jumper...before I would just use 1 piece of wire and string it to each screw...man...I gotta pick that up.
