I want the 62mm throttle body but the only site I could find in on in my search was PFYC.com and it's $210. I was wondering if there are more sites out there that will have it for less. Let the crazy girl know!!!

Try RSMracing, but it's the same exact thing

I realize that you want one, but you will get no performance gains from it unless you have the mods to back it up, i have a 62mm TB and it did nothing for me.

that and forced induction......thats when you really start moving air.......right now most bolt ons wont require the throttle body.......ive heard the 56mm works nicely but i think that was the 4 cylinder.........i dont know if they have anything we could swap for ours

Don't give up.
62mm re-bore is only from RSM (also for sale on PFYC), at least publicly.
There are alot of people making their own. Make sure they replace the butterfly if you do get one. Check out gagt.com or gaownersclub.com. I think donkeypunchperformance has something too.
Another option (but more expensive) is a 65mm billet piece. Domesticperformance.com. I need a 65 since my UIM is ported for a 65. I'm waiting for Milzy to make me one.
As for gains, you'll notice slightly better throttle response (so i've heard). The real benefit of this is any other mods you do will be more noticeable.
IMHO

stock throttle body will flow enough air for ALMOST any amount of NA mods. so if you're not going forced induction, skip it.

It's being skipped, considering I climbed in the back seat of my own car yesterday and on the drivers side, someon had either let something metal sit there really hot, or a chemical dripped on it because the plastic peice that goes around the rear window (2 dr) is all melted and indented. To top it off, myt drivers side window track is broken, and since I'm not made out of money, I have to fix the appearance issues before making the stupid car "fast". (Mind you I'm in a freaking evil modd right now) So until I get that crap done, the car is staying the way it is.

The burn is from a lighter and I have the culprit. Now I just need to get $75 from her to have it fixed.

Disagree. I need a larger tb (65mm; upper intake is ported for it) and I only have a few NA mods Hard to make more power without it as it is a bit too restrictive.

thats total BS. check the CFM flow rates for the stock throttle body, and even with an agreesive intake manifold porting a 65mm throttle body is overkill.
before wasting all your money you should look into the flow rate of your MAF. that's gonna have to be upgraded too, ubt i'm sure you thought about that. but you're really investing alot of money into something that isnt going to give much gains where they matter most.

I wouldn't say it is total BS or overkill.
The MAF isn't close to being maxed (I'm scanning it through HPT and modifying settings).
With the cam I have in place, the increased compression ratio and the porting and polishing I have done, wouldn't getting a larger TB will assist me to get more power? Especially once I get the bigger injectors?
If you want to talk about wasting money, I bought MSD ignition coils...LOL. Now that was a waste.
