Window Tinting

anyone here have tint on there aleros from VA? how much did it cost you if you had a two door?

my other question is what is a good tint range? Do I want to get the max tint available or would it make it hard to see out the window?

I dont have too much experience, here.

I think darker than 20% makes it hard to see, especially at night.
Price will totally depend where you get it done. I paid $170 for a coupe in MI.

agree, and i paid 150 for a 4door in chicago, not sure which place is more expensive IL or VA for car stuff

i paid 100 in ny. 20% all around (except the windshield) and yes, it does get tricky to see at night w/ that.

or do i have 35.... i don't remember.. all i know is i'm illegal, but not enough to be pulled over unless i'm being an ass of a driver.

A tinting place round here wants $130 for my 2door, for their basic tint. I think thats decent, but now I just want to know what %'s best.

I think the max legal tint in VA is 35% (but I've seen plenty of people driving around with darker tint than that).

I think that 20% would be alright. That's what I have on my car. It's not that hard to see out of it. Darker than that gets pretty bad. One of my friends has I think it's 5% on his firebird, and at night, in town, you have to roll down the windows to see if anything is coming from a side street. It's bad. 35% is okay, but I think that 20% looks a lot better. Like someone else said, if it is a little bit illeagal, and you don't act up, cops usually won't say anything. I may have to take mine off next time I get an inspection sticker because of a new law here.

Im in richmond.. a guy from r.p.m. told me mine(2 door coupe) would usually be 249.00 but they have a special for 149.00 right now. the max tent available is 35 and u will have nooo problem seeing through that

we'll LA Tint in Nova's offering their basic service for $130 (2dr), for the basic tint. Should that be fine? They said its dye based and I dont want purple windows!

Check out pro trucks. If you let them put a banner ad on your back window its like 40.00. They also do a good job and their tint is top of the line.
