Unhappy

I really want it to sound nice. I'm leaning twoards the 40 series from what ive heard, but theres no stlye no flare no nothing, just a muffler and a tip. Pretty close to stock if you ask me. But i dont want a ricy cannon either, some look pretty nice as well too. what do you think?

my vote goes for the 40 series...i have ported and polished manifolds and a 2.25 exhaust ending with a 40 series and i love it...nice low pitch to it

wait...your s/n is streetracer and you don't want a rice cannon exhaust? that's ironic and relieving at the same time.

which engine do you have? if you have the 2.4L, I can say that a Camaro style Borla muffler won't be 100% ricey. It'll sound a tad ricetastic because it's a 4-banger, but it won't sound like a turbo vacuum-cleaner.

To best answer your question, we need to know a few more things -

I-4 or V-6?
Stock exhaust manifold(s) or header(s)?
Naturally-aspirated or forced induction?

I got the 3400 V6 its forced, and everything is stock. When i hear some cannons they sound nice, they got a great deep tone and idle, But when it comes to others they just suck! way too high pitch cracking popping and yeah too ricey. Back to the 40 series, what kind of tip would u recomend?

go with twin round tips or an oval, or the split oval that they have on pfyc.com. LMAO...I think I just made it harder...

IMO: stay away from 4" round tips. you'll definitely get the ricer attention that you so obviously don't want.

Wait a second? You have a V6 that's forced and all stock. What does that mean? The motor is all stock but you have a s/c?

OK go with the 5 inch cannon

^ methinks he doesn't know what the "SFI" means on the engine. I think he thinks the FI part means Forced Induction...but I'm pretty sure it means Fuel Injection. I don't know the S, but I don't need to...it's not my engine. :P

yeaaa totaly meesed that one up. SFI yup, idk maybe a cannon, but not a ricey nasty look, it would have to be with the forbidden back, tucked into the corner, i think that would be the way to go

I beleve I voted for the cannon, judging by the name and the comments I figured he'd be happy with that instead of the Flowmaster
