if its bubbling, 95% sure its cuz there might have been oil(from fingers or w/e) leftover that wasn't cleaned off...mine have been painted almost 2 yrs and no problems yet

i've had it happen on something else i painted...probly you grabbed those pieces the same way cuz they're the same, and just didnt' clean enough...it is possible...other then that....maybe there's more heat being generated on those spots; lights well adjusted?

Anytime you paint anything, especially bezels like that, and things of that nature, you have to at least scuff pad it. ....dont worry, the paint will "fill in" the scuff scratches and it gives the paint a strong anchor.

thats what i am thinking, it is right next to the low beam shroud which reflects the light back into the bezel to diffuse it. the reflected light is heating up the bezel and distorting your paint. its weird that it happened though. i havent had any problems with it but it could be more noticable since you used grey, the majority of painted bezels are black, so its less noticable. thats my best guess.

What you need to do is:

1. Take apart headlight.
2. Wash in HOT soap and water.
3. Make sure bezels are COMPLETELY dry and do not paint when it is damp.
4. On a nice day start with an extremely low layer of paint.
5. Every 10-15 minutes add another very low layer.
6. Stop when you are satisfied but make sure you dont over do yourself.
7. "If you eff up" you need to bring it back and either soak it in the hot soap and water and wash it off with a brush which will take you a sh*tload of time or use laquer thinner and get all the paint off, after all the paint is off start from number one again.
