I have a 02 GX without the sport suspension and I am doing some major suspension work to it. I went out and got control arms from an 04 code FE3 Sport Suspension from a junkyard for cheap but to my surprise, they are the same as the ones I currently have. It is my understanding that there is an aluminum arm and a steel plated arm but I cannot figure out which is which. I have red conflicting stores from people on here. Does anyone have any more info on this?

Thanks

99 grand am is the only n body with aluminum arms and it may not be all 99's. If some one can shine more light on this that would be great.

the sport "performance" suspension is a joke. all ya really get upgraded is from the goodyear LS tires to their goodyear RS-A tires. Everything else is the same.

Why would you say that if your not planning on telling?

GM gives each arm a different part number. Are you saying that even though they have different part numbers they are the same arms? I think the bushings have different PNs as well.

The only real difference is in the composition of the rubber used in the bushings, allegedly the FE3 bushings have firmer rubber.
