well i took it off today. its now sold. i got the ss hood scoop in the mail but it would have taken lots and lots of work to get it onto my hood and i dont feel like dropping 700 on it. so no more scoop for my car

that is the whole principle, its not gunna make a differance, its a hood scoop, its gunna have no effect. If that hood scoop makes a differance, you better take your cd out the head unit and toss your shoes out the window to save a little weight before you race.

Any thing the protrudes from the smooth lines of a vehicle will have an affect on the drag coef. of the vehicle. Why do you think car companies spend so much time with cars in wind tunnels. Granted the effect will be minimal, under normal driving conditions, remember that the amount of HP to maintain speed as speed increases is an exponential function do to wind resistance, and the rule of thum is that curve increases significanly around 80 to 90 mph.
