Cleaner
Oil
Instructions

Steps : if you don't want to follow thier instructions :alcoholic: <-- or your and dont have time to read fine print

1 - Remove filter (jack car up for cai's etc.)

2 - Tap excess dirt from the filter with hand (small child can be used as a tool)

3 - spray the outside of the filter (part that has direct contact with outside air) with cleaner, don't soak it but you want it to clean

4 - let sit for 10 minutes in shade to start cleaning *DO NOT LET CLEANER DRY INTO FILTER*

5 - rinse filter from the inside out (water into hole) and let gravity carry the debris/dirt out, make sure you get all cleaner out

6 - let it dry (instructions say naturlly) this is aleromod, we mod aleros that's not natural F natural

***if after 20 minutes of absorbing oil is dripping / leaking START OVER***
((Several Light coats are better than 2 heavy coats))

8- assuming 20 + minutes have passed and filter is pink and oiled resistall

P.s.

Oil has an Orange pigment in it, so that helps when oiling (painting) the filter

Wow this is cool, thanks. I always thought you just, like, I dunno, blew it out with an air hose from the inside out to clean them  good thing I read this before I wrecked one!

So I did the recharge on my K&N filter, and when I started my car and let it run for a few. I seem to get like gray exhaust smoke. I don't usually get anything out my exhaust unless its cold. Now it wasn't dark or anything, just light. Is that because some of the oil was sucked into the car from the filter?

either remove front tire and pull back fender liner to access, or pull the whole front bumper cover(which is what i do).
