Do anyone has a temp gauge that looks like this when the engine is warm and the a/c is off?

mine stays about that same distance BELOW the half mark, but by design. I put in a 180 Tstat and adjusted high speed fan turn on to a lower temperature so that temps stay a little over 180. Most efficient operating temperatures are between 180-220 degrees. I also set the fans to stay on up to 2 minutes after engine shutoff.

easy. Drop $400 for a DHP PowrTuner and you'd be amazed at the things you can do with it :)

Flush the coolant system. Make sure you go the postive way, going again the flow will cause the head gaskets to break

Mine does that too, It freaks me out too.
Have you guys heard of "Water Wetter?" A friend of mine recommended it, and said it would help to keep the temp down.

Mine NEVER does that. In fact mine barely ever goes above the halfway mark except maybe in traffic. I'm glad too.

if yours doesn't go above a quarter, then I'd have that looked at too. it needs to warm up more than that to get to efficient operating temperature. Colder is not always better. Cold temp operation creates more wear on rings, bearings and other moving parts.

yeah depending upon the day and operating conditions, mine will hang out there as well...i got a tip from a mechanic one day as I was about to blow up the engine in my work van...to turn the heat on full blast and pull some of the heat out of there and to hit the open road as soon as possible and let some cooler air flow in

Well I guess I have my work cut out. $400 for DHP tunner huh..........hmmmmmmmmm sounds good. Since I am not the only one with this problem, maybe i can wait for the cat back and headers first.

if this is of any reference to my earlier post, I was talking about a DHP PowrTuner, not a DHP PCM. That help anyone?
DHP PowrTuner = $400, unlimited tuning capabilities
DHP PCM = $99, preset tune, one way, that's it.

If your car is running warm. Turn on the heater as earlier posted the heater core acts as another radiator pulling heat out of the engine. Another option is if your a/c ISN'T already on turn it on to the lowest setting, it will makes your electric fans turn on or stay on longer.
