I haven't given up on him. His does great work, he takes his time does it well, and I feel like me any a lot of people showing up at ASS would appreciate him. But if you say you've been too busy deal with my business then you're from now on you're gunna get some hell.

Sorry for the lack of presence. Thanks to Nick and Dan for keeping everyone updated. Things are going along slowly due to crazy work schedule, however the first complete set will be heading out the door to Nick hopefully by next week. I have the majority of the work done and now am just working on all of the assembly. The one thing that has been a hinderance has been the lack of cores. I do have a couple sets of outer tails ready to assemble, however the trunk ones that came with them are too old/weathered to work with. I am working on getting some replacements, however worse case scenario, I will need to work with the cores from Nick when his set is done.

I think he was just trying discredit Bryce for his time taking making them. Wrightie also has not made LEDs while Bryce has been doing them for a while. From the posts I see it is only the clear, and I have only seen 1 pic of his own. There are no other pics (that I know of) and im not so sure about the trim on his they do not look professional (but again I have only seen 1 pic and that is my opinion)

Bryce is the only one I know of that is making them (slowly but surely) I havent seen him on lately but next time I see him on, and I remember I will check up on the status of the others ie list of those in the buy and the lineup.

I had mentioned the concern about the partial to Bryce. I do not agree either. But he did not say he was UNABLE to make them. He is just overwhelmed. The cores were an initial reason to the delay. He had to find them himself and put additional money into it up front.

Yeah Nick was the only one who got a set of tails, and no one has gotten a refund yet. The last progress update was a few pages back I think. And if you want to buy my spot shoot me a PM.

Yes, only one person got their tails, and updates are slow. The problem being that in order to have made the process better, back when this started, Bryce needed cores in order to start. No one could send in cores which prolonged the process. Out of all the Alero owners, only 5 at the time wanted tails. Bryce wouldn't be able to make a living making tails. The demand just isn't there. The same reason they were never mass produced. I contacted APC a while ago after word got out that they were making them for the Grand Am. They told me that it would not be beneficial due to the cost just to create the means to mass produce. They would have never got that money back, had they mass produced, the demand for the Grand Am was MUCH higher. What others may not understand, is something handcrafted one by one may take a long time. Paitence is a virtue, and yes it has been a very long time, but it boils down to how bad you want something.

Now last update, was that Bryce was looking for some cores, and if anyone can send theirs in it would speed up the process. I was at the bottom of the list because i was last to pitch in my deposit.

Now I sent him an IM and waiting for his response, if I see him online, I will try again, but I myself am a busy man, and that is why I havent been around for a long time. Just stop by here and there to check on any status. I gave my information above if anyone wants to contact me directly, or if they have a message I can try to relay, but again Bryce left his screename on MSN (the easiest way to get a hold of him)

Shit bout to goto junk yard find some tails make a mold and make some of these wow. A once trusted aleromoder is total shit now. Hell how hard is it to go ahead and make all the clear lenses? Hmm there's an idea then get your cores put the LEDs in seal the lense and your done.

I'm actually in the process of making a new set, already have a set of cores with the lenses removed, now it's just a matter of painting, mounting the LEDs, and sealing them up. I'm still trying to get help with the lexan, though. Overall I think Wrightie does the best work (the seals on Bryce's are terrible), but he isn't responding to any of my messages.

Wrightie (according to another thread) is selling or sold his molds and extra tails he had. I would assume he isn't making them anymore.

Sand inside of mold to make sure perfectly smooth. Wax it heat up lexan in oven at 350 till it's soft lay in mold. Let it harden then trim and secure and seal onto taillight.

Oh and break the lense.

Did ANYONE happen to send him the deposit in the mail? If so, contact the US Post office, because he has actually committed mail fraud, and they don't take kindly to that. Also, if any of this money has crossed state borders, it becomes FEDERAL Mail Fraud. my cuz's dad does custom work hes actually amazing he has his own shop, with lift, paint area everything, he restores he does all that stuff. he manly works on lambos and Ferrari's and all the high class cars, ill bring my set in and i bet he can make a kick a$$ tail lights for the aleros, ill ask him about it and hope he does and get pictures up asap

other than custom making them (tearing apart stock housings and retrofitting parts inside), theres no manufacturers of any aftermarket lights for the alero. its all custom work. which means time consuming, and expensive, even if you do it yourself.

he used a product called VHT nightshades, it works really well, i had my tails done with it

just wetsand the light with like 1000 grit,

apply light coats,

keep applying until you like the darkness

VHT nightshades. you can get it at oriely autoparts for 13 bucks. i had a guy tell me a very unique simple way to do em.

-get a can of vht.
-take out your tail lights. and turn on your oven and let it preheat to 100 degrees.
-take the lights somewhere to paint where its not dusty. (outside is good, not on a windy day though)
-once oven is at 100 degrees. put 2-3 coats on 1 light. or make it however dark you want it... to dark and you wont see the lights.. so be careful.
-once you do one... put it in the oven and turn the oven off. so the lights sit in there like its just a hot summer day.. (i did this to mine it doesnt melt or hurt anything. just dont go above 100 degrees.)
-leave the headlight in for 20 mins. then pull it out and then paint another and throw it in.

be sure to turn the oven back on while painting the next light, also wait till one assembly is done before you paint the next one. usually if you just let them air dry they turn out cruddy. if you need better advice on this you can ask me and ill try to be more specific. :p
