Yeah, he is a member on here. I dont think anyone has seen him for a while but he is probably the one of the only or the only person who makes tail lights for Alero's. They are all custom made by him and the price tag shows it.

I've got silverstar turn signals on the front of the car.. they are purple / blue in color but once they light up its a bright orange-

Probably chrome, or paint the assemblies to match.

Closest thing to mass producing is what I already do. I have molds for the lenses and have the process down. It just takes time, in which I am limited.

Also, there is not enough demand to mass produce, and those who do buy dont typically want what the last person ordered. Each set is unique.

I am more than willing to do a group buy at a discount if everyone followed through. I learned my lesson when I first started making them and had about 75 prospects in which about 5 followed through.

Here is what I can offer. That set cost $400 shipped. I am willing to drop the price drastically if we do a group purchase. I have to have confirmed purchases with at least a deposit. Here is what I will do.

$300 apiece with 5 purchases.
$250 apiece with 10 purchases.

That is as low as I can go. These are a pain to make, but I am willing to invest the time if there is enough interest.

Also, the only way I can do this is with cores, so each person will have to send me their taillights, or will have to find a set from a junkyard. I have had too many instances where the customer never sent me the cores in return, which depleted my stock of taillights.

I will also offer free 3rd brake light kits with each set.

Correct. Outer ring is running, Inside lit when brakes are applied. The actual pattern of the LEDs are different in both sets too because I made each set of clusters separately and was being creative.

There's far too much involved in the process to just send lenses. If you decide to make something out of your assemblies, you can send them and I can put the lenses on...that may be possible. Have to figure out a price since plain clears were normally $250.

and the bulbs are all LED. unless your get rear ended... they can't "break"

I dont know if I would be able to send you my tails.. in fact, I seriously doubt it. My car is driven daily and the driver side rear corner light was smacked into by an 87 chevy, though since the lense is basically getting replaced.. that might not be a problem?

Its stiff and strong for sure. It is stronger and less brittle than the stock plastic.

Those tails are long gone....could photoshop the combo i suppose. not sure how they would look however....the styles look better when matched.

*Core purchase
As soon as the deposits are received, I will go purchase a spare set of taillights to use as the initial core. This will prevent the need to send your taillights.

*Creation
I will make the taillights in the order that the deposits are received. Once completed, I will send them and once each person receives them, they HAVE to send their stock taillights back to me in order for me to complete the next set. Since there is only 5 of you, all of which are on the forum, I dont think that will be a problem.

Timeframe will be dependent on how quickly each of the steps are completed. I would imagine 7-10 days per set of fab time. Each one will take 20-40 hrs of actual work. Being a busy man, most of my free time will be in the evenings and weekends.

Never had any problems, but the only thing that could be an issue if they are picky is reflection. There is not any reflector in it, but if it is an issue, you can get reflective tape anywhere.

Not much, just waiting on the cores and a sheet of prismatic plexi to arrive. Apparently they had to order it in this time. I have to say prices have doubled since the last time I ordered a sheet, I was surprised.

In the meantime, I am cutting out all of the clusters so they are ready.

Got my templates all cut out for brake, running and the LED clusters. I am going to be drilling and soldering the clusters up next.

I had 1 other person jump on board and paid in full, which will potentially allow me to get another set of cores to work with making the process quicker.

I am still waiting on 1 deposit as well, but things are chuggin along.

Thanks, we are trying to calm things down and get back to Normal. She has worked about 2 days this month and I have not worked since the 16th when we went to the ER. Things will smooth out. $100 deposit. I make them. Once your set is done, you pay the remaining $200. Then I ship them. Once you receive them, you MUST send your stock taillights to me ASAP. They are used for the next set.

Well, he replaces the lens on them anyway, depending on the damage it may still be fine.

As long as the assembly is not damaged, it should be fine. The chrome should still be in good condition, with no warping etc. I remove the stock lens, so cracks/scuffs do not matter.

Fully agreed. This custom work is definitely worth the wait though, Bryce knows what he's doing.
