View Full Version : Bulldog RS1100 Car Starter

I have search for this but no luck finding the answer so here it goes
I installed a bulldog rs1100 car starter tuesday and have one problem that i can't figure out : door locks show a one wire system
when i wire it up per instructions it does nothing the unit just clicks
I call bulldog and got conventily out on hold for ever. So i thought that i would ask to see what you guys think

I suggest visiting their website and looking up the info on your car.
They have a very comprehensive website for the DIY crowd.
You have to have a bypass module. Also if you have a way to get their T Harness its saves a TON of time. Theres some resistors and possibly a relay involved here.

i have the bypass module the car starts trunk opens lights falsh heater blows everything works except the door locks
i have printed everything to do with my car off bulldogsecutriy.com

also i have wired the res. with correct ohmage into the system like instructions say and still nothing

have you brought up a wiring diagram for your door locks? find you power and your ground that is commonly used by all of locks

door locks are negative through a 1500 ohm resistor.
the wire is white in the big black plug in the kick.
bulldog might have a strong enough negative signal to make em work .. so you may need to wire in a couple relays.
and as for a bulldog.. i wouldnt even waste my time throwing it in the garbage.. i hate that junk
i knew a guy once that pressed his starter button on the fob and his truck went up in flames :eek:
