Ok so I bought subs from a garage sale, I just wanted the boxes that the subs were in because i had already bought two 12in pioneer, but in those two boxes there was 12in Rockford Fosgate Punch's. SO im wondering are Rockford Fosgate any good, i dont know much about them and looking for some input.

I had p2s and they were good for what I payed. I payed 200 for the 2 12s in the rockford box, and a 800w kenwood amp. Nothing special at all. but it worked perfect for the price.

Ok so on the bottom of these subs it says 8 Ohms, what does that mean, and does anybody know what the specs are for these ones?

I believe 8 Ohms is the resistance in the sub's coil. I don't know if you have seen amps that say __Wx2 @4ohms (Usually around double of 4)wx2 @2 ohms. Well thats what its for, only yours are 8. Depending on how you wire them though, you will get different loads of resistance.

RF are pretty good subs, at least the newer ones are.
8 ohm is quite a bit for a sub. when you look at the power output of amps, look for the rating at 8 ohm. now if it was dvc, you could prob wire it for 4 ohms and have more amp options available easily.

If you got two 8 Ohm subs with only a single voice coil you can wire them in parallel for a 4 ohm load.
So whatever WRMS you need, look for it XXX WRMS x 1 @ 4 Ohms.

ok so does anybody know how many Watts you need to get these guys. i have been trying to find the specs with very little luck. could you use the 8 Ohms to figure out the max watts and the rms?

Which model rockford subs are they?
Anyways, here is a bunch of old manuals. Just go into the year of sub, and the manual should be in there. http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/library/
