ok so the other day i nticed my sub was being rather weak, then started cutting in and out.. then last night it worked perfectly fine and i got home and no bass at all.. the sub has continuity so i dont think its that, i ripped the radio out the rca cables and remote wire were fine i checked all fuses and connections.. so im thinking the amp went bad... is there a way to confirm this or just assume it?

the way to confirm.. is to replace it, and see if the new one is doing the same as the old..

is there a way to just test to see if there is power comming frm the output terminals to the sub? maybe with like a continuity tester?

Digital Multimeter. set it to AC power.

Could just be a loose connection or a fuse going back.
I would check all power/ground connections to the amp. Pull them apart and put them back together. If it still aint right replace the fuses in the amp and on the power wire.
If that has no effect than more than likely theres an issue with them amp.
What amp is it?

Get me a budget and what kind of power you need. I will see if I have something that will work for ya.
