Would that be in silver or chrome? The pic is chrome but the letters say silver. If they are silver it could be ok.

if you have 225/40/18 tires and they are rubbing, then your wheels have the wrong offset for our application.....

you should have no problem with that tire size.....

So wait what is the prob????

We put it on when it was on the lift and when we turned it it was hitting the plastic /metal in the fender well. It was just hitting the fender pintch but was touching...

what is the offset of the wheel, it should be stamped somewhere inside the wheel.....

Ok. The car was up on a lift when you put wheels on and they were rubbing while it was on the lift?

If thats the case, then there going to rub when you get the thing on the ground and on the road..... :rolleyes2:

Right? Did I understand that correctly?

That tire size works perfectly on my Malibu also... There must be a wrong offset involved - either too far in or out depending on where it rubs first. At this size there'll be less than an inch between the tire and the spring perch on the strut which seems tight but works fine. Double-check the wheel specs...

i went to test them out to see if they work fine and on the lift we turned the weel to make sure it didnt touch and it was touching a fender pintch on the bottom back of the weel well

post pics of the rubbing if you can... and check the inner of the wheel for the offset as posted above... this will help determine the issues at hand...

" check the inner of the wheel for the offset"

where in the weel is this??? And what would it say that identifies the offset. And I'll try to post pics of it the only thing is... That it only touches on the left side!!

It'll usually be near the size on the wheel..

Sometimes it will something like 18x7J ET40 or something like that. Basically anything cast or stamped on the inside of the spokes.
