alright sooo i'm finally coming up on some money to go for suspension now. sooooo. i would like peoples opinions on what strut tower bars they prefer and what lowering springs/ shocks they prefer. any input is great so hit me upppp :] i know i could just go to the search link but i think this is more helpfull.

What are you going to do with the car? My setup for example with the adjustable struts and the dropzone springs would give you a very harsh ride but is a good way to spend your money if you are autocrossing / tracking the car. If you want more comfort go with a non adjustable shock and eibach. It also depends on how much you would like to lower the car.

right now i'm at about a 1.75 drop on cut stock springs (trust me already got bitched out on here for that :b)
but the back wheels are like even with the fender wells and have a little negative camber going on and i want to keep it that way. front is even to back sooo ya. i would like to keep around that drop. and ya it's all about comprmizes so fuck the comfort stiff suspension doesn't bother me lol. so what brand you recomend i go with??? are you on those kyb agx's???

Get the AGXs, I have GR2s with eibachs. Not happy with em. Get a STB a lot of people rock the ebay ones, or u could get a solid 1 piece(what I did). sway bars ur gunna have to hunt down. There was a GB but it fell through.

Hey tunerkid, if you want to learn to drive and mod your car at the same time and find its limits, I suggest looking up your local racing clubs.

If you still insist on street racing, you are better off spending money on naked chick decals and saving the rest of your cash for when you get caught.

Strut bars, go to ebay and look up Grand Am strut bars, they'll work. I got mine for ~$75 Front and rear, I haven't put on rear ones but I did notice a difference with installing the front one.

As for street racing, this site does not condone it. To the people who read his comment at least he isn't posting his stories and bragging about it. Yes it is illegal and dangerous, but like cocaine it isn't going to stop people from doing it.

i used to street race but i smartened up because it is dangerous and stupid if you want to race take it to a track. you can lose ur lisence for a very long time if you get caught street racing. i think that you should look at sprint springs.

Some advice for your future on this site. I am not trying to threaten you but there are lots of things you can do to make it better on yourself and the rest of us here. Please do not mention street racing again, you are free to do whatever you want but we do not want to hear a single word about it. This is not a honda forum full of invincible 16 year olds. Lol not as much as you would think,you see the f&f goes off of the fun part of racing, but doesn't really show the dangers of street racing, killing people, wrecking your car, or even getting caught. Now your not the only street racer on the forum, and I'm sure that a good percentage of us have done it before. We at some point or another, get caught, wreck, or realize this is dangerous and a lot safer on the track. I'm fine with a $30 fee where I don't have to worry about getting pulled over, or having to run from the cops. Though tracks aren't always open when it's convient or everyday for some people to race. It's a much safer alternative that the aleromod community perfers over illegal street racing. Another reason why we don't talk about street racing is because it's illegal. You don't see threads about me smoking weed (nor will you ever) because it's illegal. No matter how safe you can make street racing; closed streets, late at night when no one is driving it's still illegal. Though if you have some stories about your times at the track we would love to hear them. Though I'm glad you didn't brag about doing street racing or telling us your stories please keep it to yourself next time on this particular forum. (some forums allow street racing stories this isn't one of them). So please relax and just ignore the comments, no matter how safe you say it is, most this forum will get mad at the fact your bringing the subject up. To the others reading let's just ignore the subject of street racing and get the thread back on track. I think though we need to start a thread that's stickied of why we don't allow street racing on this site, and some of our negative stories of why we won't do it again.

If you have ever known someone who died street racing you know why its forbidden on Aleromod. I HAD a friend (notice it is past tense) who was killed while street racing on Archer Ave in the 80's. Some a-hole in a Nova had a part break on his suspension and he lost control and ran into and sandwiched my friend in between the car and street light. It is usually innocent people that are hurt, not the drivers
