i JUST put some mods on my car today, i did a headder, intake, test pipe and cat
as soon as i pulled out of the garage the trac off light was on and it was shifting real hard into all gears, and when i go from park, reverse, nutral to drive it clunks hard
could i have hit something doing the headder? wtffff lol

hmm only time i have had the tranny shift real hard was when my IAT sensor (Inlet Air Temp) was effed up...
dont think it would have to do with test pipe really.. or the exhaust.
MAKE SURE you have your IAT plugged in with the new intake you got, that would make your transmission shift bad.
Also im not sure if this makes a difference with the trans but is all the o2 sensors in place??
maybe some more expierenced guys can come in on this, all i think really is IAT

You have a test pipe and catalytic converter? That makes no sense. The reason they call them "test pipes" is because it tests whether the catalytic converter is clogged or not by replacing the cat with a straight through pipe.
This is clearly an issue with the IAT either unplugged or otherwise loose connection where the PCM isn't getting any data from it.

Drill a hole, pop it in.

if you have an LD9 it just pulls right out of the stock intake tube, so drill a hole and find some sort of rubber grommet that fits the hole and will allow sensors to be inserted and then you should be good to go

Doesn't the IAT plug into the MAF?

there is no MAF on the ld9

Yeah just drill a hole in the piping and put it in, use the grommet from the stock intake

Oh, that's odd. for such an awesome engine it's missing a lot of stuff (MAF, EGR), but then maybe that's why it's so good.

my ld9 has the spot for EGR but the old owner just a threw a blockoff plate on it

on my civic I just cut a hole in my rubber coupling for the intake and shoved it in lol, already rubber, saves from having to get a grommet, and if you cut the hole too big just throw a lil bit of silicone over it :thumb:
