If you spent that much money on an HCCA I assume money isn't a huge issue here?
nah im prepared to drop well over 500 for the proper amp, im not sure if i should get just the HCCA 5000w mono amp from orion or if there is something better that i can get around the price.
i always have problems with the amps overheating in my trunk and maybe someone can point me in the right direction of an amp that have a nice cooling system, or an amp that has an aftermarket cooling system.
this is the orion amp im thinking about

are you running your amps at a really low impedence? try getting a 2ohm amp nothing less cause the lower you go the more heat thats going to be made!! and another thing to look at is the efficiency of the amp try and for for 80% and above cause that 20% is just made into heat!! so that some food for thought

you can probably find a pretty good deal on an american bass 400.1 . distributers get them cheaper then the rest of the planet

or you could browse the various car audio websites. for example,

this one has a warranty! and you could add another HCCA for fun

What are your box specs? They have a big deal in what amplifier you choose. I think I remember you stepping down to a single HCCA because of airspace. If you have the cash for a bigger amplifier, then you can compensate for that lack of airspace with power and run both of them again in the same smaller enclosure.
ah i dont remember my box specs off the top of my head but they are just over the minimum for the sub. its somewhere ~1.7-2.2cu

Do you have the dual 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm coils?
For heat dissipation, build an enclosure around the amp (s) with minimum clearance- say 1/2" tops on the sides/top. The ends are no biggie. Then add 1 or 2 cross flow fans. That will push the air over it making it nice and cool!
dual 2 ohm
i have 2 of the subs but i think im only going to use one. do you have any links for those fans you are speaking of ryan?
