Ok I just did a LIMG on a 02 Malibu.
Here the is whats going on.
The motor Cranks and Cranks then tries to fire but nothing. Spray some starter fluid in and She goes.
All the electronics are hooked up. Wires are in the right order, Coolant topped off, you name it and I have checked over and over and over again.
Fuel pump is work and is bring fuel up to the Rail. Only thing I think I can be is the pressure drops off when the motor Cranks.
Mind you the Car ran before I worked on it. Ran like s*** but it ran. Now It runs 100 times better but only on Started fluid.

I am getting pissed off at the damn thing and want to get it out of my Garage so I can fix my Own stuff now. :hissyfit: I hate newer vehicles for this reason along.

I am going to have :drink: and take a little break from it.

only 3 possibilities. no spark, no air, no fuel.

you have spark (starting fluid works)

air seems unlikely.

Theres fuel at the rail, but are your injectors spraying?

Just swapped out the injector harness and Same thing. I am wondering if the fuel filter is plugged or a line is plugged.

I am getting fuel to the rail b/c when I press valve in to release pressure I am getting fuel to come out but its not much and more of a dribble.

Well after messing and checking everything over the other day. Its the Fuel pump. Took a rubber hammer and beat on the the tank and it fires right up.

I was getting fuel pressure and it was reading ok on the gauge but when it would crank over it would not make enough pressure. But I got the car fixed and running. Buddy now has to spend 300 buck on a fuel pump.
