I have a 04. With 3400. I'm about to replace all 4 struts. I. Heard if u lower the car that gives it better handling. If I do I was just gonna cut the springs down. Is that recommended? If so. How much should I cut. I don't want the car too low. I live in ohio. Pot hole central. Thanks. Rocky

Cutting springs will make your car handle like shit. Dont do it! I would recommend getting ebaich springs with some kyb struts

Never cut springs, you have to use a cutting torch and when you heat up spring steel it becomes less spring and more holy-crap-stiff. If you want your car lower do it the right way, probably with the eibachs if you can find them cause it's only like 1.25 inches.

eibachs aren't made for our cars anymore.... H&R springs are good....or you can go the cheaper route.

If you want better handling w/o springs... get STBs and upgraded Sway Bars.

You ever see honduhs lowered but they cut there springs? You hit a small bump the car is like it has hydraulics.... just hops all over the place.. don't do it cheap... do it right so you have a good setup.

My intrax spring really did improve my handling (especially my braking). The first time I braked after the intrax install, my tires all screeched. And no, cutting springs is not good. My cousin did that, and ended up flipping over in his truck.
