Can anyone give me some detailed instructions for removing my throttle body, it is pretty dirty and would like to clean it. If anyone can tell me a cleaning solution that would work well, that would be helpful as well.

instead of making a new thread, i revived this one to prove that I used the search button and got no decent results. So, as the person said in 2004, how exactly does one go about cleaning their throttle body? it would be nice if someone could make a write-up for the 2.2, 2.4, and 3.4 because this seems like something that would be important.

remove the throttle/cruise cables, unplug the sensors/vacuum lines, remove the 4 bolts that hold it to the intake manifold

Hose it down with brake cleaner or carb cleaner, both cut through grime great. Wipe it down spray again to get the remainder, wipe again, let dry, reinstall.
