I have had my subs for about a year now and all my friend complain about my truck rattling in the back on the outside ( It sounds fine in the car (: lol ) but the most rattle comes from right where the metal and the plastic meet on the truck
in the picture below it is between the alero emblem, and just the "alero"
Any suggestions to stopping the rattles?

I used blankets for awhile. Still didn't help. Dynamat probably only solution.

I put dynamat on the entire trunk lid and it stops a lot of the rattles, but I also put some sound deadener in between the olds logo and alero in the grove by prying the two pieces apart. I saw on another thread that someone bolted the plastic and the metal together, ill try to find the link.

Mine did the same thing, but make sure it's not just your lisence plate rattling.

I was busy this morning stopping the rattles as much as possible. First, took off the plastic component of the trunk.

Then put some knukonceptz kolussus sound deadener on the worst places.

Put the plastic part back on

Drilled out one of the factory mounting brackets and held it together with a bolt and washer.

Me personally, i wouldn't want a screw sticking out like that... but if you have that mich rattle and it helps then i guess it has to work hahaha :)
I'm not sure what I'll do with mine once i get to that point... the rattles never really bothered me when mine kicked hard... couldn't hear it over the high end up front anyway... to me it's all about a balanced system... not all bass :p

I think alot of systems are a bit different too. Once I took my License plate frame off my only rattle comes from the trunk lid near the rear window oddly enough lol.

I agree with having a balanced sounding system, right now I have 2k watts bass and around 600w mids/highs.

I replaced my sound system as soon as I got the car.

Can anyone post pic of sound deadener on underside of trunk lid? Thinking of having some sprayable put there.
