Anyone Have A Hvac Knob??

i turned my hvac knob, the one that selects where the air goes (on the right) and it just snapped, so its stuck blowing on my feet, which sucks because its -11f up here in minnesota and i need to defrost my windshield....

i have a feeling gm will make me buy the whole setup, anyone know? or anyone have a extra hvac knob i can get from you? i know alot of you switched to the blue ones the used in later years

the blue ones are actually the stock ones, the black rubber piece was just taken off, as the knob itself is blue

Bad news. I have a set but they are packed up in my move and are currently some where in the middle of the Pacific. If you haven't gotten any by then let me know.

thanks, ill try to find out if the dealer will sell me just one knob too, for right now, i pulled off the middle knob and put it over there, since its so damn cold i dont have any reason to change the middle one from anything but all the way hot. i can tell when i pull them off and put them somewhere else its kind of hard on them, you have to give it a pretty good pull to get it off, which is never good for cold plastic.

that is unless its a 04 in witch case its a ugly nasty white under the plastic, witch reminds me i gotta go look for the blue knobs

it'll be the late 01's and up that have the white knobs underneath. ;)

I have a problem with the fan speed knob... It only works on speeds above the third setting.... I'd like to get it replaced....
Did anybody find a place that will sell the knob assembly? I tried Autozone.... and I don't want to buy the WHOLE 3 knob assembly....

Any thoughts?

i had that problem in the winter...it just snapped and wouldnt go to any other control other then the vents....dealership fixed it np...mines an 04 tho :P

i got a set of the blue ones from a member a while ago. you can tell by looking at them since they're made different that they wont snap in cold weather like my white ones. but i just got a new white one anyways, because with the rubber off, the blue ones were half impossible to turn. maybe the knobs are harder to turn on the 01+'s or somthing, because i had a heck of a time getting a grip on them

and with the rubber on, they dont stick out as far as my white ones, making them harder to turn. and they look/feel alot cheaper.
