as of late i've had a problem with what i believe to be my transmission. i'll hit the gas and nothing really happens, then after a bit my "trac off" light turns on. it will stay like this until i shut my car off. is this the transmission? if so, will one of those devices that firm up your shifts remedy this? thank you in advance

I have the transmission slipping problem, and it does seem to be worse in the winter, as it never happened through the summer but it's doing it more often now, just like it was last winter...

Anyways, my trac light never once came on as a result of this, so it may be different?

how many miles do u have on the car?

If you transmission was slipping you would be setting a code for slipping transmission it would be I am not sure what the code number is, but I do know that It will set a check engine code.
