i was just wondering if there was a certain color that you guys liked better on the alero. i have a 2004 and it is silver right now. i just feel so unoriginal in that color because i pull up to a stop light and there are ten thousand other cars around me with the same color. i had a few colors in mind for a new paint job. tell me what you think would look the best so i can make a more informed decision.

-all black including wheels and the silver trim on the windows
-black with sparkly black racing strips
-deep red with a two tone of a diffrent red (i think it would look nice with the big ass tail lights
-black with yellow pinstriping (maybe a pinstrip design on the hood)

if you don't like any of these just tell me what you would pick if you HAD TO HAVE one and then tell me what you idea would be. i would really appreciate all the comments i could get...i love my alero!

i have an 03 sedan, with a cowl induction hood and razzi spoiler, when i'm at a light, my car looks NOTHING like the other cars!

Yea silver is the best color, just mod it a little and you'll stand out.

Black with yellow sounds nice, as long as the yellow is kept classy, to fit with the rest of the alero's look. yellow is my fave colour =) Silver will fade and be like, grody gray in a few years anyway, so it would still need to be repainted to be kept looking nice. silver ALWAYS fades the worst, and is very common. but jabartram is right, it is an ALERO we are talking about, which is nothing like other cars =)

thats not what i heard Alex, what change of plans.

and if you have plans on doing the kato kit....my car was originally silver, check out my car domain...old pics of it un-lowered, but it was silver with the kato.

and jabartram...i love the car with the cowl and razzi spoiler...kinda made me wanna go back to my original plans of having that spoiler.

the back bumper was my only concern when i was looking into the kit. it grows on you, or youll be called rice....but eh whatever...your car do what you like.

Quoted post

old silver paint jobs would fade, the sun would kill the pigment, but any color will fade over time if not taken proper care of, my car is washed and polished bi weekly, the only thing killin me is the dam rock chips.

razzi or the forbidden. the only reason i went with the whole kit was bcuz it was cheaper then getting parts from another one.

Of those choices I like the red color...

But I'm kinda partial of the pace car yellow (even the yellow-white checkered)

Marc and I were at some poophole diner last night on the Southside and saw this GA in a purrrrty dark blue color. I would love to see an Alero in that. I may try it after a while.

^ every shade of blue I've seen on an Alero has been sexy. Especially the Electric blue. But yeah, if it's not broken, don't fix it. Keep the silver.

Lagunna blue, would be bad ass, like on the Jetta 4's (GLI's mainly have them)

Here is my blue =) Metallic Opaline blue, stock, '99. I am in love with this colour. Opal is my birthstone(October) too, and my car was registered in October, we share b-days =)
