mass air flow sensor problems
 

well i purchased a mass air flow sensor and installed it and when i started my car the lights kept flickering and the car ran like shit is there any reason this could happen.

Is it in backwards?

no it is not i checked that becaue of another thread

its only when it is idleing because i took a trip around the block and it was running fine once i got it up to speed it was just right when i turn it on. but i dont think it should be doing it period.

Is the connection tight? Are the wires inside the MAF damaged or bent?

The MAF uses a "hot Wire" tech.

Maybe this will help you understand better and pinpoint the problem. The MAF measures the humidity and volume of air going into the motor.

You said you bought a new one, maybe it's bad, or the wrong size for the car

did u buy the one for the yr of your alero or did u but the corvette one or something and ur in lexgtion? im in the ville
