Yes, you connect your amp's power wire to the positive post. With a fuse.

so that post does have a charge? cause i have the power wire just wedged in between the bushing(car powerwire for component stuff..ie. starter, etc) and the terminal

heineck 03-12-2009 09:54 PM

ur gonna need a fuse, if ur usin an amp kit it should come with one

tudski 03-12-2009 09:58 PM

i know i have it already setup its working but i want to make it look nicer clean up the wires, so thats why i was wondering.

Its hard to understand what you mean. You crimp then solder a ring terminal on the end of your wire, then unscrew the post, put the ring on the bolt and screw it back in.

thats what i have now done but i want to get somethign liek this so i can have multiple runs to multiple amps

my freinds amp kit came with that

you can use a different type so that you don't have to run multiple power cords to the trunk. EDIT: Try a Distribution block

Misuseofyou 03-12-2009 10:26 PM

I have 4 diff wires connected to my positive terminal without buying one of those.
