4t45e tranny rebuilding
Theres this guy on grandamgt.com that's working on getting some rebuilt trannies for a decent price, looks like he's done a lot of research and he'll put in a LSD for you too, check it out.

I'm thinking after I get the turbo in my car I'll get my tranny rebuilt with an lsd to handle the abuse.

Same guy I've talked a lot with on BlackJack's site www.nbodypower.com. He seems like a pretty good guy and you cannot beat the prices he's got for a fully built transmission. I've already got mine priced out

Including a bunch of stronger internal parts, Blue Plate clutches, high flow pump, stronger pump shaft, 2560 stall converter, and LSD, final price is $1647 without shipping. Shipping shouldn't be a whole lot, plus I'll be using synthetic fluid and a fluid cooler. Should be able to handle some serious power and torque.

Why not just have it built before the turbo so you don't toast anything and have a useable transmission to build on?

Isn't it obvious? no motivation like being unable to drive it.....I put off doing the 4t65 swap because I'm a great procrastinator. Once I blew my only trans, I got highly motivated to do the swap

That and i cant afford both, so turbo and nurse the stocker until i can afford a new one. Then once my new one shows up i get to turn up the boost and kick a few downshifts until it blows up, tow it home and install the new one.

hahaha, I love your optimism.....there's no such thing as "nursing a turbo". Sooner or later, the greed for boost will get ya

yeah i figured it would, but i need to allow a little time for the funds to replenish so i can afford that new tranny. Install shouldnt be a problem, jeremy said he would help me with it. And that way i can learn from him rather than pay someone since i dont have access to a tranny jack and that stuff, otherwise i would try it myself. Im not expecting more than 3,000 out of the tranny that i have now. Oh well its got 110,000 on it, im due for a new one anyway.

It won't. That's the point of building a tranny with stronger, better performing parts, so that it doesn't break.
If it does, I'd be having a friendly conversation with the guy who built it...

Stay away from the valve body as much as possible...they are built in clean rooms for a reason.
