Stupid people!!!
Ok first off im not sure how many members drive their cars on gravel roads but i do so here's my problem... So pretty much eveyone knows that it is common knowledge that when your on a gravel road and are you are meeting a car to slow down to around 50-60 kph to prevent your car from flinging a rock at the passing car... but today i was on a gravel road and some C*NT in a half-ton went flying by me at like 120 kph and smoked my hood with a rock. I guess my point of this thread is people should use that grey matter between their ears a little more often.. Heres a pic below.

I see perfectly what you mean. I drove on a gravel road 2 weeks ago and some bastards are crazy on those. I was hardly goin 40 km/h just to prevent rocks from goin all over the car when ppl were passing by at 100 km/h with boats or caravans behind them. Tried to avoid them as much as possible goin as far right on the road as I could. I was lucky this didn't happened.

I've driven on gravel and dirt roads. I prefer the dirt roads. When I was on a gravel road, a car flung up a rock that hit the windshield. This was a company GMC Safari and the windshield had to be replaced. It absolutely sucks.

I learned the lesson of not doing 60mph on a dirt road. It's really hellish on your alignment.

That's a pretty odd place to be.
Either way I'd be pissed.

Wouldn't insurance cover that?

Sorry to hear that but unfoutunatly(sp?) that is just one of the risks of driving on a gravel road. I live on a gravel road and drive on it every day. I have never had a stone fly up and hit the windshield or chip the hood like that before. Any time I've really got hit with a stone it was one the highway (right now my trucks windshield looks like it's been through a war)...go figure.

Oooo! Nice! since i lowered my car i can no longer drive on gravel. in saskatchewan, they wait until the gravel rises up in the middle of the road until scapes the bottom of a half ton, then just level it until theres no gravel left. i have troubles when there arn't any ruts.

Ahhh yes, good ol SGI. I love the insurance out here. Personally I would just try to buff some of it out, yeah the dent will still be there but you can make it almost not noticable. Just get a buffer or some touch up paint. When you have that low of a deductible they jack the premiums up pretty quick.

Okay ... I am stating right now that if you guys don't stop the pointless bashing/comments, I will give you guys warnings. I just spent 15 minutes of my lunch trying to salvage this thread so this will be the last time I say this ... Knock It Off!!!
