New AC compressor pulley not lining up
i installed new AC compressor yesterday and it seems the pulley isnt lining up with the harmonic balancer. any one know of a fix?

You got the right compressor? No reason it should not be a perfect fit. Got a pick you can post?

the belt is sliding over coming over the backside of the harmonic balancer for some reason.

Where did you get the compressor from? Is it a GM unit?

engine?
i had a similar issue with my ld9. but it the belt squeeked like it was no ones business. and kept sliding off.

got it from autozone, and its the compressor they called for. and its the 2.4 engine
|

check ur tensioner, and the bolt on top of the alt. that runs into it

looks like it may be the belt itself. looks like one of the grooves on it came off. so when i flipped it around it isnt coming off. looks like im off to the parts store damn i feel like a dumbass. belt looked good other than that

It could be a problem like I had... My AC compressor pulley was about a half inch behind the harmonic balancer pulley.... My belts kept striping off on the inside...
Look the same?
I ended up replacing the harmonic balancer, and I haven't had any problems since.

mine was just barely riding on the outside of the harmonic balancer, went and got a new belt. so far so good guess i'll have to keep an eye and ear on it

If it tears the belt again, you'll probably want a new balancer. I went through 3 belts already this year.

Are you sure it's not the A/C compressor? Considering the source it would still be my #1 pick as the problem.
