I searched and didnt find anything on this so here it goes,
Im looking for a straight through loud and deep toned muffler for my
2.4 Alero. Nothing that sound high pitvhed or throws off the fact that I am a 4cyl. ...Im not looking to doing anything to the whole exhaust system...Just the muffler...so quality and reasonable price is best. ANyone know of any good ones. ALso, a reason for doin this is to get rid of the boat of a muffler it has stock so I cant mount a CB SPeaker Phone in its place

with a straight through muffler and nothing else done to the exhaust, you will get the high pitched tone you dont want. if you want a deeper tone, besides the muffler, you should replace the stock resonator with an aftermarket one, the longest one that'll fit under the car. if you get a whole exhaust done, match it to the piping diameter you get. if not, match it to the stock piping diameter. and try to find a larger canister muffler to as that will also deepen the tone.

Quite a few of the other 2.4 owners on here have the Dynomax turbo muffler, including myself, but I don't have it put on. It's still in the box if ya want it.

I've got a can muffy with real low sound. doesn't sound ricey, and is a big improvement from the stock muffy.
Ractive Black chrome exhaust. Has a cool spiraling baffly thingy on the inside.. and comes with a silencer if popo are stiff in your area.
Got a 1/4 time improvement with the muffy and RSM Lightened Crank Pulley! From 16.6s to 16.3s

I just put on a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler for a camaro (2.5" in, dual 2.5" out) for like $250 CAD after taxes & with installation... the muffler itself was only like $90 or something...
It sounds good, probably as good as you'll get on a 4 cylinder
