Need Help W/rear Swaybar Installation

I just took out the factory rear sway bar and already put the pfyc rear sway bar on but it's only holding on to the two middle bushings (red ones). My problem is the end links are at an angle such that it is impossible for the screws to go back into their spots. Any help is greatly appreciated b/c i need to drive this car to work tomorrow and i've already missed my max amount of days.

*2nd pic is of the endlink screw that is at the angle which i cannot put back in.

is your endlink backwards? I got the same bar. fits fine

I'm pretty sure even if you take off the endlink and flip it-it won't change but the slightest degree. I'll try to get some pics of the installation from underneath the car tomorrow but here's 2 more i took tonight.

they look backwards.. try flipping the endlinks around. IF it still doesn't come close to lining up, then you prolly mixed up the right and left endlinks. But it won't line up completely straight again cuz this new bar is beefier. It'll be a little croocked until you bolt it on, it'll be flush.

Yes, you have the endlinks backwards. You see the metal rod that makes up the middle portion on the endlink? Well it's not perfectly straight. The relief should be on the backside so there more clearance with the lateral link. In other words, the bend should point towards the front of the car.

Flipped the endlinks around and it didn't really make any difference as you can see in the following pictures, i'm about to go try aftermath's idea of switching left and right endlinks.

Yes, try swapping them from side to side, but you do have them pointed in the right direction now. It will take a bit of work to get the endlink bolt back into the knuckle, and it may help to jack up the knucle you are working on.
Be careful not to cross-thread the bolts into those aluminum knuckles!!!

Yeah-the endlinks were mixed up left and right-I screwed on the bushings first, then i screwed in the endlinks, then lowered the car and tightened it as much as i could but there is one problem i'm not sure of:
-The screw going into the endlink did not screw in all the way, there is maybe a quarter inch of space between the screw and the endlink.

That sounds about normal...if you look closely, there is a metal sleeve inside the rubber bushing on the endlink where it bolts to the knuckle, and the sleeve is a bit wider then the bushing.

The screw is in the middle of the screen and you can see the little space that is there between the endlink and bolt.

how does it ride since the install? i want both front and rear, but i will do the rear first.

i finished the install at around 10 and took it around the neighborhood for a drive and all i can say is DAMN! i already have sprint springs and those lowered the body roll a little but the rear sway bar feels like it completely eliminated the body roll. On some of the turns i took around the neighborhood it felt like the car was oversteering on me. Just waiting on the front and rear stb's to come in the mail anyday now.

Jabartram-Someone told me the front sway bar gives you more understeer since the alero is FWD but have someone that's already done the mod tell you what they think.

the stb's stiffen the chassis really well, i cant wait to feel the difference with rear sway now.

yea i want the rear sway bar next, i have eibachs, awaiting my kyb's installed, front and rear stb's, and to be honest i just installed my new rims with 40 series tires and i can feel a difference..maybe less flex with the lower profile tire....

Sure you do, performance isn't just HP and torque. Better handling ability is still performance. With upgraded suspension, your car can "out perform" those with stock suspension.
