your stock calipers are fine.

I'd just like to chime in and say that my rotors, pads and calipers were all replaced under my 3-year warranty back in July. The warranty runs out like this month, so I guess I dodged an expensive bullet on that one Anyways all that aside, when the rotors get hot, it transfers that heat to the pads and then to the calipers. The calipers go through heating and cooling cycles just like the rotors and can warp as well. Warped calipers will cause pulsating problems even on new rotors because they arent pushing the brake pad against the rotor properly. Just something to think about before you buy the most expensive rotors you can find and then discover you still have the problem
Ceramic pads will likely help this issue as well because they retain more heat than organic or semi-metallic ones, thus limiting heat transfer to the calipers.

yeah my brakes squeak like after you start to push them they dont when u touch but after you push a lil more they squeek, and then if you push them harder it wont squeek. But new rotors and pads should do it huh??? what about making that vibration at high speeds go away, it sound like the car is riding on square tires and its annoying, what would fix this?

Mine squeaked when i got it, because i had stock raybestos brakes on it. And yes, not all the time.. only when u pushed the pedal a certain way.
I just got new pads. (semi metallic, Bendix) as i have said a MILLION times in this thread already. Do not keep putting on stock raybestos.
Just cuz its squeakin doesnt mean you need new rotors and crap too. The mechanics probably bs'ing you outta more cash that way.

didnt i answer it before?
u overheated ur disks before. now when they get hot again the vibrations come back. take new aftermarket bisks, (brembo are good or d&W) and ceramic pads and the prob is solved cuz they dont heat up enough tho deform the disks or let them glow until the metal goes blue.

yes, raybestos are stock gm. and most shops will just replace them with the stock raybestos for you unless you specify otherwise.
Thats why i recommended asking for Bendix semi-metallic, will easily replace and outperform raybestos, and are economical.

No, stock GM pads are not made by Raybestos. They are made by ACDelco.

hmm well they replace them with raybestos =/ typically. terrible pads, nonetheless.

Yeah, the stock acdelco's do suck. I had those replaced at 16k along with the rotors with more GM crap parts. Those warped again. I then installed some Raybestos cermaic pads and rotors myself. They grinded like hell at every stop. I sent those back and got some Akebono ceramic pads and Napa rotors and have been very happy with those for almost a year now. With these N-body's it is hit or miss with brake pads. Some people have good luck with some brands, while other don't.
